no lol, the black lines surrounding the charizard
Ah now I get what you mean haha, thanks!
I was referring to the black lines being a different colour, like acebran said.

I thought that too, yeah I’m not going to be bidding on this one even at 45! Could you say what’s so visually different? I really can’t see much a difference…

Funnily enough, I was through some of my regular unlimited US print Zards, and 1 of them didn’t have the black like a normal one but instead had the different colour outline… strange!
Ok I’m actually retarded, when you guys meant black streaks surrounding the Charizard I still didn’t get it right haha… but now I do! I really never noticed but that’s awesome so I guess it is a variation i’d really like!

pokemanz:
Yeah I guess they look ever so slightly to normal unlimited!
I’ll heed your advice and not BIN. The front looks pretty good, and would sit nicely in a binder but 45 is still quite a lot. Funnily enough in ebay.co.uk, these don’t show up very often at all. Quite ironic since they’re UK print run and are more common in the US!
The problem is most people don’t know the 1999-2000 print is even a thing. They just list the cards like they would any other Base Set cards.
You have to scour though hundreds of listings, zooming in on copyright dates if you want to find them lol. Fortunately you don’t have to do that with the 1999-2000 Charizard because it’s visually different, so it’s easy to pick out without looking at the copyright date.
I definitely wouldn’t pay £70 for it. If you wait long enough someone will list the same card for £30-40 thinking it’s just a regular Charizard.
That’s how I managed to pick up my sealed Machamp. Is worth checking
