It’s funny you say this, when I was a kid(12ish) Pokémon was my side hustle. I missed a lot of good trades because I thought the shadowless looked fake, back then the info was very conflicting and I was seeing what appeared to be some good fakes.
I am a big fan of the holo shadowless cards. I remember seeing them occasionally as a kid and being wowed by them then. So every time I see one I still have that same excitement.
I just love everything about it, the allure of when it was printed, the uncertainty of print run, and most importantly although the 1st ed stamp is IT, the minimalist nature of the card matches my lifestyle. Love em (still need Dugtrio and Electabuzz)
More for old school collectors. I think shadowless is a great addition to a collection. If you want to go by the numbers, I’m sure other people would have more accurate print run information. I would assume shadowless print run is the same or similar to first edition print run. Original art, original set, “misprint”, limited print run. Sounds like a collector’s dream.
