So here I was sitting around on a weekend laughing at all the Arizona heat jokes on Facebook. Then I saw one where someone’s mail was warped after sitting in the mailbox for only an hour.
That’s when it struck me.
Long story short, some of the cards I had in the mail came in bad shape due to the heat, one of them was the Toys R’ Us Xzini Vulpix that was a sealed product placed into a top loader and the wrapping on the back imprinted itself into the card.
And to think I turn into a little bitch when the temperature reaches 90-95 here in Massachusetts! Haha I don’t think I’d be able to deal with that kind of heat!
This hasn’t happened to me but you are scaring me… Here in Florida the heat is getting out of control too. Have you thought of leaving a note to the mail man to see if he can place the mail in a less hot area? May be under a rug or something?
Crazy you posted this because I was just starting to panic about some cards coming in the mail tomorrow. I live in Arizona, too. Inside the metal mail boxes we have it’s probably 150 degrees. I just am crossing my fingers our cards will be okay!
Yeap, metal mailboxes, forget that goes higher than the outside temperature in there. I’m thinking of getting a PO box for a few months but it’s kind of expensive especially when I don’t even buy that much.
Well come to Canada where it was 8 Degrees Celsius or 46.4 Fahrenheit Saturday your cards may freeze instead hahaha. its weirdly cool this summer for some reason.
Card under internet modem + 12-48 hours = goodbye warping. Fixed dozens of cards with this method from Base-Fossil holos to EX Deoxys reverse foils that were curled to all hell.
