Our favourite amateur boxer. Every time I see that it irks me because it’s not technically correct. He’s a professionally registered boxer, but saying our favourite professional boxer doesn’t work, there’s too many that Our honorable president in that category lol.

I’m having difficulty distinguishing between actual criticism, and envy.

What does a content creator have to do to be liked by this community?

Be more like Scott or Rusty. Super knowledgable, show love for the cards and the community, no clickbait, not trying to push an agenda (“hype beasts”), no stupid thumbnails.

Leonhard for example checks many of these boxes. He would be cool in my books if he’d just be a bit less cringey on the thumbnails and video titles.

Hard to deny which of those three is more successful, at least in terms of appeal/entertainment.

Yep, a bit out of control and perhaps counter productive to encouraging prospective members to join the forum.

Content creators are bringing a lot of new people into the hobby.

If people want to find more information after a specific creator does something that gets attention, they’re not going to search for this mega thread.

The handful of critical people are not the only people in “this community”. You aren’t going to hear from the large section of e4 users that are ambivalent to these youtubers, simply because they don’t care and have nothing to say.

Content creators are bringing a lot of new people into the hobby.

If people want to find more information after a specific creator does something that gets attention, they’re not going to search for this mega thread.

For this topic a mega thread makes a lot of sense. Especially considering how many content creators there are these days. They don’t all need a new thread every time something interesting (or uninteresting) happens.

That said, I do think there are too many stickies in this section. Some of them could probably be retired.

There was nothing more cringe than watching Mystic7’s stream last night. I watch him for pogo content but last night he was auctioning off shining fates packs on some app and each pack literally went for an average of $75. It blows my mind how stupid some people are or how fragile they are that they want some streamer to acknowledge them. And speaking of fragile, if you dare asked in chat why people are paying so much for packs, the fragile mods on his stream would delete every message like that. Gotta make sure that the sleezey stonks cant stopped.
