What was the cost of grading though? To get it back in 6 days, probably had to be Express? I haven’t submitted anything before, so not exactly sure of the cost. But if Express, that’s $130 per card (does having membership lower it?)
Edit: after thinking, i am sure these sellers know their margins and made enough to do it. Still feels pretty cheap to get the set at $1900 this early after release. Maybe happy buyer and seller

I assume grading in Japan is naturally faster, but I also don’t know their grading fees. You could be right that they didn’t make much. As a buyer though they could have bought raw and graded at $14 each card

Been in Okinawa for a couple of days now. The set is sold out at every Konbini and at the card stores I have been to so far. At the Pokemon Center packs were available, however with a 5 pack limit per customer per day.
Out of interest does anyone here have a decent supplier from Japan?

Just posting this for information sake, everyone is making this offer, and has been for years. The only answer is to buy retail. I’ve wanted to do Rudy’s patreon model of being a supplier, but I can’t get consistent supply. Even in this new era of Japan printing more, my last orders of 151 and TF were allocated, probably because of high demand, which is back to the original point.
Pokene.com or retrospecs on instagram both can consistently get japanese product at reasonable prices in the quantity you’re looking for.
Both also have youtube channels if you want to look into them at all.
Edit: these are both US Sellers, but if you’re unable to find a Japanese supplier these are good alternatives.
