I know a couple people who are 20% complete with master ball set for 151, slowly chipping away at it. They suddenly stopped when the next master ball set came out because it is no longer unique

These are low-key the highlight of the set for me, tempted to collect the full set of them. You just knew reverses could never hold that value.

Apart from all the price speculation, it’s nice that 151 & TF have given reverse holos a new lease of life with this subset collectability.
There’s been a few sets here and there like Pokekyun and Legendary Shine Collection that have had a bit of an impact with rev foils, but really the Legendary Collection and e-series eras are the last stand out memories for me of when people were genuinely keen to collect them.

I paid $102 for the Eevee SARs, base ex, and master ball this morning (not incl. shipping). Last night masterballs were in the $25-27 range, this morning $30. That’s not much but I figured just pull the trigger. In a month maybe they drop more but

Yesterday midday I went through lowest list of every Eevee. Then late last night did the same thing and noticed stability or a slight uptick in lowest list

i feel similar. might just do a full set of the pokeballs if they end up dropping to like $75 or so for the full set in a few months. might even be less who knows

So what you’re saying is I missed the dip technically. I guess it should probably stabilize a bit until the rest of the world gets the set.
It’s been pretty flat over the past couple of days anyways. Some variance a few dollars up and down. I went against my own strategy of waiting and singles a day or 2 after release. The prices seemed appropriate, most SAR Eeveelution and master balls costs less than what you can get a sealed box for.
It’s entirely possible that when the next wave hits, these cards get even cheaper.
