Stuff you believed in the early days of Pokemon

I would hope for a charizard when opening fossil and jungle. Was always disappointed when I didnt pull one but never knew any better.

Probably the greatest post I’ve ever seen. Yes - been there.

My Dad told me Pokemon cards are worthless and not to waste too much money on a fad. I believed him.

This is pretty random but I never had Charizard as a kid and my brother would always tell me “Look there’s a Charizard card in that tree!” every time we passed by this one tree near my house haha

Still hope to climb it some day and get that Charizard card!

That when Dark type Pokémon were released with Neo Genesis, they were the rarest of rare cards because they had a white star instead of a black one.

That charizard was the coolest pokemon. Turns out I was right for the most part

I remember being in elementary school and thinking that if you had a red cheeks Pikachu from base it was worth $200

I believed I could beat my friend’s lvl 70 Zapdos with my team of 6 lvl ~15s because 6*15=90; 90>70

That the large promo star on the bottom right of cards meant that it was even rarer than actual rare/Holo cards because it was bigger

Jungle was fire red leaf green
If a card didn’t have a crease it was automatically mint
