You ever get a hit on who “David Mosier” mighta been? Was wondering if it could be a Z
Thanks again and I appreciate all the information and additional pics you provided me prior to this post! Are you able to tell whether your sealed silver stamp is the silverish variation or the pure silver one?
No I haven’t. Definitely looks like “David” written on the back of the Aquali though. I’m just wondering if anyone on here would know if the print floor supervisor would ever write (with black marker) on the back of sheets that are used for test cuts or testing purposes to mark that the cards are to be disposed of afterwards.
Lets us see a single copy close up I’ll let you know right now
….send the silver stamp charmeleon photo close up
Gold against Silver
Pulled both out of their sleeves to ensure the stamps natural colors and eliminate glare or any discoloring caused by the sleeves.
I can respect that, I am a history buff myself. The story behind something is more than half the fun. In saying that I am very serious, if you ever did want to part with one, preferably NM 8+ as possible Id love to add to the gold one I have to display as a duo. Id pay ppgs 300 USD with tracking ![]()
That’s amazing to find so many! My silver stamp graded a 9 last year, so now does not match my PSA 10 gold stamp. So frustrating ![]()
Yeah those 100% legit there’s no way anyone can replicate that stamp.
Yea I scrutinized everything about them as I compared it to the Gold stamp card that I cracked out of a PSA slab. I did a light test, black light test, print dot comparison, stamp impression, etc. and they all matched the Gold stamp card except for the color of the stamp.
Unfortunately I doubt any of these will grade a 9 or higher. Maybe an 8 here or there but many have whitening on the back due to them being in that tin box for years and more than likely unprotected
I’m assuming your silver stamp got designated as a Gold stamp?
I’d be open to selling you one once I open up a research request with PSA to see what it would take to have them recognize this as a silver stamp variant, I’ll keep you posted once I start the process. I have a busy week so may not get to it until after the weekend.
Grateful truly, yes please let me know ![]()
Happy to help.
I have two silver stamps. One sealed and one unsealed. It’s very difficult to tell colour variation unless you have cards side by side in person. Of the two silver stamp cards I have, I would say both are more silver than gold however the sealed copy is slightly golder than the unsealed copy.
I submitted the Research Request through the PSA portal so I’ll keep everyone posted on what they come back with.
Yes, my silver stamp is labeled as a gold stamp. Would be happy to resubmit if PSA finally recognizes the silver variant.
I’m so glad I came across this thread! I as well would be very interested in one of these. I’m working on collecting all Wizards of the Coast promos and their variants. This is one of the few I’m still missing! If you’re open to it, would be much appreciated. Thank you ![]()
I’m trying to see if I can get PSA or CGC to recognize the silver stamped variant but so far no luck with PSA. I opened up a Research Request but never heard back. I’ll try CGC but not getting my hopes up. I’m open to selling some of them once I figure all this out.
