Storage unit find - my story and epic pick up!

I can tell you some things just based on a couple things I observed in the lot and previous experienced.
Whoever accumulated this assortment did so overseas probably as a career soldier. The topps were probably picked up at a later time or at a time they were stationed in the US.
I’m curious about this: weren’t there a ton of bulk foreign non holos somewhere? It’s odd if there weren’t.

Having that bulk fits the puzzle then too. They all kept their bulk cause they could transport for no cost. It was usually for their kids or nephews/nieces etc but very often for themselves as enthusiasts.

Lol…the pleasure is mine, from one with storage locker connections to another;)

I already have loads of this stuff but if you have any questions or need advice feel free to pm me.

@burt015 yeh that’s fair enough. It’s a great pick up anyway. Good luck with it.

I got back in to the hobby a while ago when I discovered my old collection.
After hours of researching, I had a pretty solid idea of their value (a process made extremely simple with the level of information on the internet).

If the seller didn’t do any research for a collection like this and got underpaid, I don’t think that’s the buyer taking advantage. Perhaps the seller may have got a higher price if he’d done his homework.

Amazing find by the way - It’d be amazing to find something that is even remotely close to this one day!
