Good for Steve, seems to enjoy the hobby!
I don’t agree with the Aiki collection designation raising the value of the item. To me it actually devalues it somewhat!

Honestly, it’s of no interest to him either way as far as it’s affect on value.

I kinda hate the personalization. Made a verbal “ehh” when I saw it but with gem mints idea of a marking to show first 10 or a designated registry completion would be a cool idea. Maybe a sticker label of sorts like we see in coins. In coins however some of those companies that grade and sticker an already graded coin are a different company altogether.
Or even cards graded within a year of release. Any card received by PSA within a year gets a “Release Year Designation” At least it’s not one card getting the label and it’s anyone who was actively collecting during the cards release. It encourages collectors to send cards in for grading.
Damn. First edition release, first edition card, first edition psa year label. How deep can it go
I do agree though that psa would make a bunch of $ doing that
When I saw this title, I thought I was going to be able to buy shares in the card.
After watching the video, very informative to see that even Mr. Aokia has to jump through hoops to buy from Yahoo Japan.

Feels like everyone and their dog owns an Illustrator nowadays.
You don’t.
I find that you owning one is actually more special. Wohooo a multimillionare has an expensive card that he learned about because of the info on the web and other people teaching him where to get it. No hate to steve, dudes awesome, just not as crazy exciting as a “nobody” having one.
You got yours when you didnt have nearly that amount of capital (i’m assuming lol) and there wasn’t any info on it. Thats special. Buying something that really only has the barrier of entry being money takes the joy out of it for me these days. Just like zards, you can find em. The other trophies are harder to find these days imo.

If this isn’t in the next patreon, I’m cancelling my weekly shipments of coconut water.

I’m sure he did. Exactly why I say he had to jump through hoops. He couldn’t just buy it himself.
