I can’t seem to find how many units were sold from all the different sets in order to figure out general rarity of certain cards. Does anyone have that information?
Welcome to the forum hugs.
Sorry but that info was never released. At least for the vast majority of sets.
Thanks. I’ve taken an interest in some of the early generation 4 sets and I noticed that they are very cheap compared to most gen 2 and 3 sets. I was trying to figure out if it is because more gen 4 cards exist, but it could simply be because people aren’t nostalgic for gen 4 yet.
Generation 4 sets are most likely less printed then previous sets due to Pokemon popularity being low. There is also no chase cards like the gold stars and several other factors that point to the lower value.
There will never be exact numbers, as that information wasn’t made public.
Gen 4 is cheap because of low interest.
Even the scarcest set cards are always available. So don’t put much stock in print numbers as all sets currently have more than enough supply to satisfy demand.
Thank you friends!
