Picked up a PSA 9 Karen’s Umbreon. I noticed right in the middle (because of my luck) there is a small square on the inside of the plastic slab. You can see the card shifts independently of that mark so it’s not on the card.
I did some research and it sounds like this is relatively common on slabs? You can only really see it if you shine the light on it correctly.

I mostly wanted to make sure I’m not the only one and it’s not something weird on the card itself. If it’s just the plastic and not touching the card it’s fine.

A bunch of my Nagaba Pikachu had this defect as well. It really looks like it’s on the card, but I haven’t cracked it to be sure. All I know is that it does come from the slabbing process.
Yeah you can see it’s the slab because I shift the card back and forth and the slab stays in one place (see pics).
That’s good! On mine it was impossible to tell because there was no play of the card in the slab.
This is a fairly common PSA slab imperfection. The small square mark appears to be in the plastic holder itself, not on the card. It is likely a manufacturing artifact from the slab/encapsulation process, such as a plastic inclusion, residue, or flow mark. It is mainly a visual defect in the holder and should not affect the card itself.
