Another raw Mew ended up on auction for $29601 ($4022) at Pokecolor 
Several people have posted the purchase price for x10+ copies at 23k ($3190) each (I guess they resell them overseas). I really don’t think the price of this card will go down, 150 copies per month seems too low, as long as people are willing to spend +$5000 overseas the card won’t go down.
TaoBao if you want to learn chinese (app does not let you use translator) and are ok with the headache of chinese payment systems like AliPay. Oh and possibly tariffs right now
I was ok with the original AR 151 being 180 to 200 but this one being 600 is absurd. I would hate to see where the other 2 land…

No doubt in my mind, this will be a $2k card (Raw).
Crawling up, the staggered 151-monthly will be an interesting psychological effect on buyer patience

With which release? Scarlet & Violet is ending soon and a JP version of this card is still nowhere in sight

Lately we had several exclusive cards indeed. But who knows, with the 30th anniversary just around the corner.
I think it’s just easier to assume that a card made specifically for this event, for only this language, based on another card (Mew ex) that has already released in other languages 2 years ago, that will also soon be invalid in Standard - won’t be released so late any other way. It is, as you said, exclusive

But it’s not 100% certain — similar things have happened in the past. It might end up being a prize in other Asian countries (like what happened with Taiwanese Victini prize card), or even in South America now that the Spanish language has been introduced in the Pokémon TCG

i think TPC wouldn’t want to risk generating any controversy with their growing Chinese market base by making something that was advertised as “exclusive” less exclusive

That would be more likely had several Asia languages announced this prize card simultaneously like they had with SAR Victini ex, but it didn’t happen. Like Raging Surf sealed battle, Mew ex is a timed event for Mainland China’s release of 151 this year only. The other languages have already moved on

Did they really promote it as an “exclusive simplified Chinese card,” or did people just assume it was exclusive?
It was promoted as exclusive 151 mewz you can dream you can pray you can hold your breath but this mew will not be released in any other languages

That’s my understanding as well. Good luck finding a cheaper alternative of this art.
Buying the Mew ex in China at market price is almost impossible, unless you are lucky, you need to overpay it in order to get one, let me explain why.
15 May this card was 16k rmb market price 2200$
17 May - 21k - 2900$
20 May - 25k 3460$
21 May - 35k 4800$
May 15th a guy promised he would sell it for 17k and that once he received it he would notify me. He never notified me again, when I looked for him, he said he had already sold it for 20k.
Same thing happened two more times.
A copy for 24k was purchased, the seller cancelled and relisted it at 29k
Today another person was supposed to sell it to me for 27k, but sold it for 35k, without even notifying me (maybe I could have offered more lol) with that I give up lol.
If you really want and can’t live without this card, I guess buy it immediately even if you find for 6000$ out of China. Of course from trusted source.
