I’m looking to use my PSA coupon for a submission, and I was wondering if I could use USPS too ship my packages back instead of Fedex (which I’ve seen had some problems)
I also wanted to see other tips on how to ship the cards to prevent more mistakes and also about upcharges?
I trust Fedex more than usps personally.
Regardless make sure there is signature authorization required to and from. If you also combine this with ring doorbell, there isnt too much they can do to screw you on your sub. If it goes missing you have insurance. If they try to sign on their own you have video evidence. they cant throw it by your garage if signature is required.
USPS can on the other hand say it was delivered into your lockbox/storage locker. In fact very recently i was screwed by usps this way out of prismatic etb. They reported it as delivered to storage locker… i call my branch and told them a 4lb box of that size cant even fit and they agreed. it’s been a few weeks and it still hasnt shown up and I cant make a claim against seller since it shows up to them as delivered
The above is a video made by PSA so just follow those instructions and you will be fine
one extra tip i will add:
Place the submission ID label TWICE on different sides of the box. One time the mail service placed their sticker over my submission ID so it was stuck at psa for quite some time
what about upcharges?
Pretty sure return shipping is only Fedex and its pricey. Its $20 minimum for 1 card.
I suggest saving your $3 for USPS shipping to PSA and don’t get signature. Waste of money on what I assume to be cheaper cards, right? No offense thrown btw.
it’s more that hes acting paranoid and saying hes scared to the point he wants to use a different shipping service. If thats the case I have to recommend the signature

both companies steal just saying
i dunno where/how usps came out to be this premium company and fedex is in the gutter when fedex handles more successful PSA transactions than any other carrier
usps literally stole business checks out of the mail and cashed them to personal accounts (apparently if it’s under $10k banks dont care how its endorsed) and ive had to deal with it to the point we dont accept checks via mail anymore
maybe because PSA uses Fedex? Not really a good reason, also we’ve started seeing a huge uptick in stealing by Fedex which has been reported on the forum. I’ve had all my orders for pokemon cards arrive safely by USPS.

If you have a fedex account or usps account, you can enter your account information and use whatever shipping option you want. I use that so I can chose how fast or slow I want my cards back. Helps with working around my availability. Can be cheaper or more expensive depending on the option you chose.

if psa used usps it be the same. tens of thousand of pokemon shipments will result in some stolen merch

can you give me an idea about the cards your sending and the expected grades?
you should be sending a tier or 2 below and allow psa to upcharge as deemed necessary
what is the exact question related to upcharges if you dont mind us asking?
if you overpay and dont get the grade you want, psa wont refund you. upcharges are just a natural part of the process with psa unfortunately

there is a .000001% chance you get upcharged on those cards, and there’s a lot of discussion about upcharges if you search through the rest of the forum
Anecdotal buy I’ve had so many issues with FedEx but I can’t think of one with Canada Post/USPS. Could be an international shipping thing specifically though.
You’ll be fine Vert. What happened to triple is really, really unfortunate but these issues are a fraction of a percent of the amount of packages PSA sends out without any issues.
