Are there videos of Japanese Neo3 and Neo4 box openings? I really want to see if the 1:300 pull rate for Japanese Shinings is true.

Also, does anyone know if the Japanese Gold Stars and Crystals are harder to pull than the English ones?

Here’s one, i’ll try find another, I’ve definitely seen more than the one where the poor soul whiffed on the shining. Not certain on Japanese star pull rates, but they seemed to be about 1 in 3 boxes, but with so few openings out there it’s hard to tell. Can’t recall ever seeing someone not hit a Crystal in Japanese E2-E5 boxes.

I know this is all anecdotal and not really much to go off of, so take it with a grain of salt. Sort of just what I’ve gathered over the last 10 years of cracking boxes/watching this stuff get opened.

Interesting, it would align with what people says: you can open 1-2 boxes and get no shinings in Neo Revelation.

Thanks for the information! So based on the little ‘evidence’ we have, it seems that Japanese Shinings were indeed rarer than English ones, while Japanese Gold Stars and Crystals have roughly the same pull rate as the English ones. Is that correct?

Yeah it’s unfortunate that we don’t have a ton of data to work with for the sets that we love the most. JPN Neo 4 shinings were 1-2 per box as opposed to the 0-1 in Neo 3. Keep in mind, there are 60 packs per box. So when we’re talking relatively, an English box of Neo Destiny has 2-5 every 36 packs. Much more common when you look at it like that.

Neo 4 shinings come in the non-holo rare slot too. Just a bit of semi relevant trivia I guess lmao
