Thats a good point. Still not a lot of them though
True that. Even tho there are several of them still not huge numbers plus these cards are very sought after so that maintain their prices high.
So for every $100 the PSA 9 copy drops, the the 10 loses $500-$800? Better hope that 9 demand holds ![]()
Agree with this - I have 2 WOTC Shinings, 1st edition Steelix PSA 10 and Unlimited Gyarados.
The Gyarados has 4Xd in price vs the steelix only going up maybe 30-50% over the exact same time period.
The pokemon itself is a massive factor, in my opinion just as powerful if not more then the PSA Pop of it in 10.
In terms of 9 vs 10, I have had this exact same thought with Shinings, ive always wondered why the 10s arent significantly higher in price then the 9s, but the pops in 10s are very high and theres less shine on the card if you like, so some people in a way just arent as fussed.
Its a strange one, I still think Shinings are one of the most underated cards in Pokemon (atleast pre covid), there still pretty affordable even now but the supply has really dried up so its hard to know what the actual market price of these even are.
Also need to remember theres alot of shining cards, so you can in a way have an alternative from buying one to another (of course not as simple as that) but you have more choice in spending the top end i.e shining charizard vs the bottom end i.e noctowl/kabutops.
