Since wotc products are super expensive and seeing how Evolutions are went up big time, I was thinking buying something in between and I was thinking about XY Flashfire - it’s not too expensive and the box design is awesome (at least in my opinion). But I was thinking - maybe there are some other good options in this price range? What do you think about Noble Victories? What semi-vintage box would you buy right now?

HGSS booster boxes were around $700 in January. They’re now $5k+. I don’t think those are a “not too expensive” option.
I don’t think there’s really anything in the set that justifies such a price either!
I think the “nothing in the set justifies the price of the box” can be applied to just about any set.
“Not too expensive” is relative.
Japanese boosters have been a good investment for me. Ive been getting all their specialty sets like their version of hidden fates, shining legends, evolutions and tag team all stars and once they go out of print they all have risen significantly.
