It’s not bad honestly. As indicated in my previous post, I do collect sealed games, and have submitted to VGA.
The best part of VGA is honestly sealing it to prevent further damage. I feel sealed games are more prone to damage. Like if you rip the seal, the value decreases so drastically. That’s less of an issue with cards. They can get damage but you won’t get like 90% reduction in value with 1 scratch sort of thing/
Additionally, because of the whole H-seam ordeal and all that, just knowing if a game is factory sealed or not is more of a factor in the sealed market. As opposed to cards, you can generally tell what fake and what isn’t (usually). It’s harder for sealed pokemon games. Some games have a really light H-seam…some vertical…some horizontal…they also have sealed perforations (little holes) either vertically or horizontally…as a newbie it’s quite daunting. You have to have solid knowledge.
There’s way less supply of sealed games. Yes there’s no pop reports but…honestly supply is very low in general so…it’s less of a factor I feel. There’s also less comparison. There’s thousands of cards to compare pop reports to, but for sealed games there’s only a few sealed pokemon ones so…less to compare…therefore I feel it’s less important.
I’ve submitted to VGA and they are very professional, had no issues.
I don’t recommend sending EVERYTHING to VGA…but some of the special ones are worthwhile for future selling.
