As someone who recently joined these forums, I think it is a very positive move to enforce the protection of both buyers and sellers in this manor.
I have no intention of selling any of my collection, but I enjoy seeing what others have to sell because this is a very high end collection forum, and I find the trophy cards fascinating in all of their beauty, so maybe I’m the wrong person to chime in here… but I personally feel that 100 posts is a small price to pay for access to a section with collectors of such calibre.
Everybody has been really reasonable so far whether they agree with the new policy or not. I like that glad some newer members (I’m pretty new myself!) are being so respectful. I basically just want to say I’m glad I found this site and I love it, hopefully you guys will too!
Yes, the site as a whole has been much better since the new rule was put into place. Like Reina Sierpe said, 100 posts is nothing compared to what you get in return.
I rather have a rule like that than have new members just randomly come here and sell their stuff. On other forums i do see people doing the same thing but sadly its bad enough people do it and scam others for the money enforcing a rule to sell is something worth doing
Guys with less then 100 posts, you’re not missing anything in the sales forum. The last post there was over a week ago. It’s not like it’s a place with a lot going on.
Haha, I’ve moved my sales to eBay for the time being anyway.
Too bad, since the community here deserves priority in my opinion!
But I will do my best to contribute and get a 100 posts so I can also sell my stuff to the real collectors.
Got to say I wasn’t a big fan of the new policy since I don’t have 100 posts yet. My frustration is more in not being able to see the Sales forum in order to buy from the other UPCCC members. I’ve had good success buying and selling a few cards but haven’t posted a Sales thread before, so the change in ploicy isn’t a huge deal to me. Will just have to continue to work my way towards the 100 post target…
Thanks to the Mods that put in all the work to keep this site going. It’s been a great place to learn.
Just out of curiosity, how many UPCCC members have 100 or more posts??
Sorry Marcel, proboards does not allow anyone to view/post in threads with post limits. Ideally it would be nice to have it the way you suggested but proboards doesn’t have that option.
If you need to buy something, post a thread, and anyone will offer it if you have it. Just post around and you’ll get enough. If you want to sell, try eBay as you’d have more luck there.
