I was wondering if I could get some help with some Japanese Booster boxes (Shiny Treasure ex) that I bought for my shop.
To preface, the seller had 100% rating but only ~200 items sold so it’s a good rating but not a seller with thousands of sales.
I recieved 5 booster boxes from them and I was a little worried about the seams on one side.
I have a Shiny Treasure ex box from another seller, who I believe to be reputable, and compared the boxes to that. Some look the same, but 3 of the 5 have a sort of spiked pattern on the seam along the long side.
The other sides of the boxes look consistent (no seam where there isn’t meant to be) but this one side looks a bit messier than the other boxes with a smooth seam. I attached pictures, the top right box is my older Shiny Treasure ex box, the other 5 are the new ones.
I’m leaning towards normal variation because 2 of the 5 look exactly like my other box. I just don’t know if shops will reseal some/not others? Or maybe the buyer got them resealed from someone else?
Other than 1 box being a bit banged up at a corner, all the box cardboard looks untampered with from what I can tell.
I’m just hoping I don’t have to open one to “check” because it would put me in negative profit margins. I don’t want to sell resealed to my customers accidently though.
