I bought a lot of packs recently on ebay. Most of the packs were breakthrough. Everything seemed just fine with the packs. The only weird thing was that all the code cards were the white background. instead of the occasional green.
I also got one evolution pack from this seller and this is what raised suspicions. All the cards in the pack are very light. Like the printer was running out of ink or something. I put it up to a light and no light shines through, i ripped up one trainer card and there is a black line in the middle. Is this coloring issue normal? I want to buy more packs from this person but idk it weirded me out
The pictures don’t really do it justice. But here are two of the same pikachus. One is drastically lighter than the other. Lacking most color: imgur.com/a/xdFc4
The one on the left looks like someone printed it on a home printer or something. Color seems off and quite blurry. Not sharp clear text and colors like real cards normally have. I’m no expert though just my opinion.
If the cards have the black piece of paper in them, they’re legit. You can’t buy cardstock with that paper in it (I think it’s made especially for Pokemon cards) and it’s just not worth the time or money for bootleggers to make it themselves, if that’s even possible. Evolutions is pretty notorious for having really bad color consistency, so that’s most likely what’s going on here.
