I really like rayquaza but its cards often remind me of a frog wearing lipstick and I suspect the mega form will have quite a lot of trouble eating food with those protrusions effectively blocking its mouth.

Pulled this card while I was sat in an Argos (UK store) car park on a rainy day with my mum. It was around £10 for 3 ex Dragon boosters. I cleaned my parents 2 cars for £5 each week, so it took me 2 weeks to save that £10. Asked her not to drive off until I opened the packs so I could show her if I got something good. I pulled this and the Ampharos ex in those 3 packs. One of the best Saturdays of my childhood. Amazing how clear and detailed Pokemon-related memories are. Always think of that day whenever I see this card.

Also it’s important to remember that for the first 2 generations we had like nothing for dragon Pokemon. We had one cuddly looking Dragonite and kingdra which was a trade evo and not too common.

Then gen 3 slaps us with the legendary dragons and salamence flygon altaria combo move. I’d normally say that was overkill but each of those dragons are top tier even to today
