The Acetone Variant :grimacing:

Wtf, this actually looks amazing! Now I wish all gold stars had EX borders :smiling_face_with_tear:

I think there is even further differentiation needed than US vs international print. I’ve seen German Gold Stars and their yellow border is even more washed out than that of the US version.

Just thought I’d add to this that I have observed the same printing variation in the ex cards from EX Deoxys. So it’s not just the gold stars. Collectors likely haven’t noticed to the same extent in the ex’s because the scrutiny/care factor is lower for less significant cards.

I agree with many others on here that owning a Rayquaza Gold Star regardless of print variant is completely awesome! Many collectors don’t mind one way or the other. But as the owner of several EU/International Rayquaza Gold Stars and a self-proclaimed ‘expert’ on this topic I can say I unequivocally prefer it over the US print

Hi Can i know if this is original and where can i find it?

It’s not, someone used acetone to remove the ink along the border.

I assume this is a UK/International version?

It is indeed an “EU” print
