That Ho-Oh is my favorite Pokémon Full Art card. The colors and texture indeed make for one beautiful looking card.
Also, how do we even define ‘modern’? I started collecting during the XY era, so XY, SM, and SwSh era modern in my eyes. Then again, the last XY set (XY Evolutions) was from 2016. Maybe only the last two eras are ‘modern’ (although let’s say a new era is released and starts with just one set and some promos, does that make Sun & Moon automatically not modern anymore 
)?

BW would sound logical for me too since after that the basic card design and print style has been quite consistent too, ex era, hgss and CoL all had their unique touch but after that very little changes. And like mentioned it’s the era that started full arts which basically have been the thing since then

Out of all modern EX cards, that full art Primal Kyogre is my favorite.

Kyogre wins 3/3, these are prime BW and XY full arts. My favorite has to be the Primal Clash Kyogre
