Questions about potentially signed Pokemon Card - Tomokazu Komiya

Recently bought a Pokemon Card collection off of Facebook Marketplace and this happened to be one of the cards. The guy selling the collection said he just happened to find this card while he was collecting and said that he didn’t know if this was real or fake.

So with that said, there are a couple questions I have for anyone who has knowledge about signed Pokemon Cards:

Based on the pictures, is the signature most likely legit or fake?

If this card were to be real and be authenticated by PSA, what could this card potentially go for?

Side Note: For anyone whose wondering, question #2 was asked out of curiosity as I’m probably not going to sell the card. After doing a bit of research, it seems like Tomokazu Komiya is one to sign cards sparingly with the hope that the fans who get his signature will cherish it rather than immediately turn around and sell the card.

So I plan on respecting his wishes by holding onto the card, but again, it would still be interesting to know the potential value of the card if anyone has an idea for how much it could go for.

It doesnt seem to match the style of their other signatures but best of luck finding out.

Tagging @swolepoke, not only the resident auto expert but also one of the few here with several legit Komiya autos.

From my (semi) untrained eye, this doesn’t look like any Komiya signed cards or merchandise that I have seen.

Not real unfortunately.

Thanks @swolepoke for the honest answer. But if I may ask, what ended up giving it away? Was it just the fact that style of the autograph was too different from his other autographs, or was it something else?

Unfortunately, it looks nothing like his autograph. Both the english and that character written on your card.

Here is an example of his auto in 2018. It’s the character just above the dating.

here is an example from 2020.

and 2025.
