The Question of the Day is a way to facilitate community discussion to help members ponder the unanswered questions of the world that are somehow relating to the hobby. Questions are many times open ended and up to interpretation. Feel free to post your thoughts in as much or as little detail as you’d like.
Helpful Considerations may or may not help some people focus their answer, these are blurred to not bother those who have their own ideas.
Ive actually really liked seeing the phone cards people have posted about in the past and i realized i havent seen many recently. I think the collecting of phone cards has gone away as there is not reason to use phone cards now. So, i think all the collectors have moved into hiding, holding out for the perfect time to swoop in on the rare limited release phone cards. Theyre probably out there, watching and waiting.
Phone cards are by far the least nauseating non-tcg cards. I’d even go as far as to say that I really like some of them, and would gladly own them.
Where did they go? As far as I can tell they seem very popular with two particular demographics: 1) Humpbacks that share very little in general and 2) Orcas that sort 10.000 card mercari lots into grading piles all day and as such don’t really have the time to share.
Lol, I’ll share some phone card purchases either end of this month or next. I’ve mostly been buying cheaper ones and a lot more Non-Pokemon recently. I’ve also got a few at PSA and am sending out another PSA order with autos tomorrow where 2 of the cards are phone cards, but who knows when those will get back.
If i’ve understood correctly the phone card collectors got bored of the tcg reign of terror and collectively moved in San Marino, formed a band called The Phone Cardigans and made E4 account named tokyopokemon to troll the tcg collectors they so much despised
