QotD: What would happen if you cut off a ditto-slowpoke’s tail?

Helpful Considerations: Is that ditto now missing a piece? Can dittos regrow limbs by transforming? Would they feel it?

If ditto is a failed attempt at making mew, is slowpoke a failed attempt at making ditto and therefor the tail just grows into complete slowpoke?
