Love the colors on these and I am a water person so have to go with Dive Ball first
Beast Ball
Dream ball, Luxury ball, Beast ball.
The classic Poke Ball. It’s iconic.
For in-game purposes my favorite is definitely the quick ball.
I’m working on completing the Pokedex in all of the games so the quick ball has saved me a lot of time. Plus, the blue and yellow looks quite nice together.
I only use Pokeballs in the games and in Pokémon Go aside from very rare occasions. As @ascendedbidoof said, it’s classic.
The GS Ball always intrigued me as a kid watching the anime so I’ll give it an honorable mention.
Luxury ball
I like the standard Pokéball for its simplicity.
I also like the older versions of Pokéballs, like the Ancient Poké Balls from Pokémon Horizons:
The Poké Ball from Professor Oak’s generation from the Celebi movie:
The Hisui Poké Ball in the Legends of Arceus game:
Etc.
And I also agree with @SeasidePokemon regarding the GS Ball. Here is the actual GS Ball from the anime:
I’ve always liked the mystery of it when watching the anime as a kid, but it still bothers me to this day we never got an answer what it was within the anime[1] after it was delivered to Kurt.
Greetz,
Quuador
We did get confirmation in an interview in 2008 it was supposed to contain a Celebi, but because they planned the fourth movie, they scrapped the idea of the GS ball and hoped viewers would forget about it… Which we I didn’t. ↩︎
I am a really big fan of the great ball. I think the colors on it are stunning and so well done. I do like the other specialty balls like the luxury ball but in most of the games, they are extremely hard to obtain and if you do you can only have a small amount of them while the great ball you can just buy.
Always been a fan of great balls but when they came out with dusk balls they became my favorite. Just really love the color scheme and now I use them whenever I can in the games. Cherish balls are really cool too
Luxury
Dream Ball
I love the classical ones! In games, I always use Poké Balls and Ultra Balls, but surely there’re prettier than those, such us Net Ball or Dive Ball. As some of you, I reckon GS Ball is also a wonderful pick, nostalgia! Anyway, recently I have to add all Hisuian Balls to my top list. They’re beautifully designed!
Sometimes I wish Pokémon could be transfered to a different Poké Ball… just for aesthetics hahaha
I always loved the idea of having personalised Pokeballs. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t. I mean how are you meant to tell who’s in which ball if you catch all your Pokemon in the same ball?!
In the anime we see at Oaks lab that all the Kanto starters have their names engraved on their Pokeballs and Pikachu has a bolt on its. Although, during the entire anime when we have rarely seen Pikachu’s pokeball again the bolt is now sadly missing.
#bringbackpersonalisedpokeballs
Seems like some trainers decorate their pokeballs themselves, like Ritchies (who was like Ash but a better trainer)
no no. We all will never forgfive them for the GS ball tragedy. They built an entire season of the show around the GS ball and then dropped it as if we would forget about it? I don’t think so.
And I also remember the prof. Oak 1965 lookin’ pokeball and thinking that it was cool they showed how pokeball technology changed over time, and that you needed to crank a knob on it to make it function.
Even though there are a lot of pretty and i guess useful ones i’m mentally too boomer to answer anything else than regular poke ball. Like others too have stated that’s the most iconic one and what brings me the most nostalgy
Cherish, luxury, premier
