I really want to say VSTAR Universe for the 9 card Saitou spread, but I know I need to pick a set that has cosmos holos
I’ll go with Crossing the Ruins - small set, nearly every card is worth picking up, classic illustrators, Japanese-exclusive holos, secret rare throwback to Rocket Gang

I really like Neo Genesis but Base Set has the nostalgic side for me I also had shadowless as a kid not sure how many first editions.

I’m torn but would ultimately place my vote with Neo Destiny as well. The set has a ton going on and great card arts all around.
Some close seconds include Aquapolis, TRR, Fire Red Leaf Green, and 151.

I agree with @Dyl and @wisewailmer that EX Sandstorm/Miracle of the Desert is such a strong set when it comes to set identity and cohesion. The only minor issue I have with the set is why in the Western version only 2 of the Eeveelutions are holos (Flareon and Jolteon), while the others are just non-holo rares. In the Japanese version all 5 Eeveelutions are holos however for whatever reason they are not in Miracle of the Desert but in Magma vs Aqua.

Flareon and Jolteon are also the only holos in EX Sandstorm that aren’t gen 3. I assume they were given holos because there weren’t any Fire/Lightning gen 3 options for TPCi to port over from either Miracle of the Desert or Magma vs Aqua: Two Ambitions; or else all the Eeveelutions would have been non-holo Rare
- Team Magma’s Torkoal and Team Aqua’s Manectric were technically available but they’re better suited for EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua

Radiant Collection is peak. The cute cards and unique holos are so perfect. Even just staring at the commons brings me so much joy. I’m fairly close to completing my set of all the Radiant Collection half arts!

I can’t split it between Vmax Climax and Generations.
Thinking back over the last 10 years no two sets come to mind where I ripped so much product and had a great time opening & collecting them.
They are also the only two sets I’ve completed since Base, Jungle and Fossil.
