A claustrophobic room that smells of body odor, cigarettes, and pot with cameras pointing toward your face. Super romantic!

Usually wotc bulk to look for error cards. Found two line error venonats that way. I try to look for ex-hgss cards but most are either stupidly priced or dont exist at the show in the first place. Modern art rares and similar items priced under $5 are pretty exciting too. I avoid all sealed, especially modern.

I havent been to a large show yet though.

going for a pope master set?

Indeed, I really wanted an auto of Saint Peter in PSA 10 but it seems I’m about two thousand years behind. Sucks a bit but who knows maybe one day!

Btw, this thing just sold for $16,500.

Fanatics Collect on Instagram: "BREAKING: The Pope Leo XIV Superfractor 1/1 just sold for $16,500. In May, Topps released a surprise trading card of Pope Leo XIV, showing him waving from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica. Over 133,000 base copies were sold in just four days - making it the best-selling non-sports Topps NOW card ever. But one collector hit the jackpot: a randomly inserted 1/1 Superfractor. That exact card just closed in our June Premier Auction, becoming the highest-selling Pope card of all time."

Over the weekend I went to my first card show. A local card shop had a small venue with roughly 40 vendors. It was really small but was nice to other local collectors about this hobby.

I was looking for binder cards that i could get for cheap and walked away with a great haul. I chatted with a couple people and plan to buy bulk from them to fill up my binders. Overall it was great

I went and only searched for middle era cards as vintage and modern definitely are overpriced in those places, middle era is naturally too but on a bearable level so i could grab some cards without a feeling i’m being robbed

I would look for anything that isn’t readily available for purchase online.
If I took the time to travel to a card show, I want to see something special, that I can’t buy from my own couch at home.
Show me something that I can’t see anywhere else.

The other thing I’d look for, is people / fans from the internet.
Finally getting to meet and visit with the people I interact with online, is the best part of a convention.
