Pwcc allows consignment from overseas?

Hi guys,

Am looking to sell some cards to focus my collection, but worried I don’t really have the street cred to auction my stuff on eBay and get proper pricing.

Am considering getting pwcc to help and was wondering if they take consignments from overseas e.g. Singapore? And whether those who are familiar with the process could give some advice on the processing, accounting etc

So many thanks!

Hi. Yes they do accept consignments ftom overseas. I just sent a few cards to them a few weeks ago.

So farthe process has been to:

~ print and fill in the consignment form off their website.

~ package cards with the consignment form and post it to their specofied address.

~ they will confirm receivership of cards via email and create a login for you if its your forst time using pwcc.

~ approx 3 days before your cards go to auction your cards will appear under your login as drafts you can edit.

~ the auction go for 10 days.

~ they can then pay you via paypal gift.

Ps. Their consignment for this year have shut. You will have to consign to a january 2018 consignment.

That’s good to know! I thought they paid by cheque only. My bank has charged me silly amounts on USD deposits/transfers before… Brent didn’t answer that question when I asked if he accepted Canadian consignors.

I am shocked that PWCC is okay to pay via Paypal gift. It seems to be a direct violation of paypal TOS. They clearly say free gift transfer is for “friends and family”. They are such a large business and sending so much money I have no idea how this could go unnoticed or unchallenged from paypal.

I mean Paypal does in fact receive their fees on the initial payment of funds from the buyer to PWCC but still allowing PWCC to send the money on again for free is surprising.

I think it makes a lot of sense tho, goods and services makes no sense because they’re not selling you anything - it’s a wire transfer and they can do it through a bank or through PayPal.

Many thanks guys!

They also declare low value / gift for international buyers from auctions. Either way, there’s a loophole: it’s legal to have it marked as such if the buyer requests that he/she’s giving it as a gift to one family member/friend/charity
