There isn’t* import fee on any returned goods. What Shizzlemetimbers is saying, by the looks of it that the value PSA put on the returned package is grading cost (and not your declared amount on submission) the next element to determine is whether they mark it as goods or returned goods. If marked as goods it is then wis for us submitters to keep grading cost below $1,000 AUD.
hmmm, but how about the insurance on orders back to australians… Does this mean psa doesnt insure the cards for what you paid, and just does the grading cost.
I just edited my comment. I was meant to agree with you, that there isn’t an import fee on returned goods. So yes youare 100% right about that concern.
It will be good to know from someone like @ozenigma regarding:
* How do they mark their packages (returned goods, sample, goods etc.)
* What value do they place on the package
* Based on above, what is implication for import duties
The value they put on the package is the grading cost. For my snap Gyarados they declared the value at $95 which was the grading cost. PSA has their own insurance and it is worked into the return shipping cost you pay I believe.
Thanks for the clarification. Do you know if they mark it as goods?
If marked as return goods then it won’t matter for us Aussies if the grading cost exceeds $1,000 AUD, if marked as goods then it might be ideal to keep the grading costs below $1,000 AUD for meg submissions.
Too easy man, I think they mark it as gift. But I am pretty sure if you submit cards with over $1000 worth of GRADING costs you will get hit by import fee but I would double check with Oz.
Would your sendoff be over $1000 in grading costs?
