At minimum this is just an odd system error. I still don’t fully understand how this works. It is interesting that @suicune shared an almost identical situation. Either way I just don’t get why this is even a possible scenario. Even if it’s a genuine mistake, don’t let anyone take an offer on a card if the grade isn’t finalized.
deserved all the likes it got
Agreed and I am taking it 1 step further - QA checks take weeks right now. Don’t charge my credit card and don’t show me the grades until the grades are finalized.
yes agreed
I don’t even know why this is a problem.
Grades should only be shown when finalized after QA 1 and 2. (Images should be blocked until finished also)
Offers should only be allowed after this.
Its 2 simple flag checks
get it together PSA
they cant put any of what that person is asking for in writing coz of lawyers and such
Where did you find it? I can’t find it
It’s public on X, you’ve got to get better with your fbi stalking skills ![]()
Here’s the whole post
I’m probely just to old and stupid, so did not find it, but only looked at his feed or what it’s called
Thanx for helping
Is it just me or will this not impact psa as the top grader ? Seems like many are trying to have them hurt in all this but I don’t see them stepping down as top honcho in the grading to 3
If every time someone bought a graded pokemon card a tree died, the world would be a desert by the end of the week. Whatever this situation was; PSA changing a grade because of pushback or their convoluted system creating an error, it will blow over like probstein shilling, cgc fake prototypes or other previous controversies.
Although I agree with what you’re saying in general, your first sentence is very exaggerated.

PSA has graded roughly 15 million cards in 2024 and probably little over 75 million in total since 1991.
Still, there are over 3 trillion trees on Earth. The loss of trees from chopping wood + natural causes alone each year is already 200 times higher than the total number of PSA cards graded at ~15 billion annually, which of itself is 1/200th part of that total 3 trillion.

I am guessing a specific slab is sold more than once a year on average. I know the numbers are still on different levels, but just adding to it
Ah, good point. I misread as ‘paid to PSA-grade’, instead of ‘bought a PSA-graded card’.
That amount is likely higher indeed, although not by much since people also grade without selling. ![]()

Ever since that guy who got a psa 9 with grade notes that revealed it was off center went on social media and @ nat to show him with a ruler that it was exactly 60/40 centering and Nat told him to send it back and they changed it to a psa10 for him (sports space not pokemon but still applies equally) i knew at that time PSA only cares about these issues for the sake of social media presence. Safe to say nothing has changed in the years since
Whats more annoying? People complaining about grading companies or people complaining about scalpers? Might be a tie..
PSA will double check an order filled with 9s, but doesn’t double check a modern card getting a 3 lol
People arguing about old cert and new cert and then saying buy the card not the grade
