PSA Cash out

Would this cause delays in the grading? Does PSA shop these around for a bit before providing the grades / options etc

Question: Where would one find the PSA offer for a vaulted card? I’ve got 2 cards I’m planning to sell via PSA consignment on ebay, but I’d like to see what they would offer me directly. I can’t find the offer anywhere.

They do not offer on every single card. If you cards are already received in the vault and you do not see an offer, then they are not giving you an offer for them.

We didnt know who the buyers were when I posted the comment. At first it seemed like PSA was buying them to sell on PSA ebay.

Knowing what we know now, yes I agree that was a poor take on my end. But hey I got 27 likes on it, so it can’t be all bad

Think they’re implying that, if PSA offers are all 15-20% lower than last solds, and ZandG can get at least last solds with a fee less than 15-20%, you’re making out with more money consigning.

There is return shipping from PSA to you that would decrease if selling a few slabs to PSA. Also don’t have shipping to Z&G then. Only talking a few bucks difference but it’s less hassle and risk.
85% payout today cash in hand or 93% payout a month from now. Not saying one is better

Thanks for the clarification!

Interesting. Having options for quick liquidity never hurts.

Does anyone have specific examples of cards that PSA has offered to purchase and what they were offering? Would be interesting to see if there’s a pattern to what cards they are making strong offers on

Three of my five offers are for different copies of the same card.

Those are really bad offers on those, lol

That’s a pretty terrible offer on the PSA 10. Last sold was 700…

So this just makes it easier for sellers to dump junk slabs? #winwin

Might be an interesting play here:
Send in new promos or set cards right at release but at bulk tier level. Let others pay express grading fees and set the market price temporarily high. Then once your cards get done grading a month later, maybe the price they offer is better than what you would sell it at a few weeks down the road when even Verts mom is getting her graded cards back

I was honestly expecting the offer to be worse. People dump cards @ 70% market to vendors all the time. If you account for the time/gas/cost of admission to go to a card show 66% of market for a no risk instant sale is probably appealing to those looking for instant liquidity.

PSA’s fee-less offers are 20% lower than what I’d get selling on ZandG (or frankly, anywhere else)

The offers I have been getting are 80-85% of market which is extremely competitive weighed against getting the cards back, consigning them out (and paying shipping) to zandg or other, and risking market drops as well as damaged/lost in transit.

How do they pay you?

I see an action button telling me to add stripe but when i click it i get sent elsewhere

Probably because I dont use rhe vault so I never linked a bank account with them but I dont see how to do it

I’ve gotten offers as high as 90% card ladder value on some cards I’ve had vaulted. I think ArenaClub and other slab pack services pay up for the more liquid cards.

I wonder if on the margin it’ll push prices up. If fewer cards reach PSA’s Ebay store (or others), then there’s just going to be higher demand for what ends up getting listed. And then repackers pay 90% on the higher comp, leading more people to cash out after grading, and so on.

How long until fractional reserve Pokemon is a strategy PSA goes with? Sell your vaulted cards once it hits the vault and then return you same grade, but different card, when you recall it.

There is some kind of play here forming for them. Maybe they use the vaulted asset as collateral to get loans. Offer vault discounts for longer term storage etc.

You have to do it through the mobile app.
