Psa 10 Shining Mew

I’m wondering if this card is destroyed bc of what looks like the card is clipped in the case. The card was put in the slab wrong during the encapsulation process it got stuck. Could be the angle as well, I can’t tell for sure. I’ve definitely seen cards like this in the past. Would this mew’s value go down significantly or would collectors not touch it bc it’s basically a destroyed card at this point. It’s no longer gem mint if it’s been crushed between two pieces of plastic. Also, how could this leave PSA if the cards are examined after being slabbed?

P.s. I’m not really sure how it graded a 10 to begin with. The centering is absolutely horrible.

don’t they have a guarantee of some sort where they will compensate the card for the grade awarded? idk

if it is damaged, surely it cannot achieve a 10 again

@inertgeometry is correct. If this card is damaged (i.e., not PSA 10 quality despite having the 10 label), it would fall under the Grade Guarantee.

So they would buy it off you or regrade it and payout the difference? I believe that’s my understanding of what PSA says

They would regrade it and pay out the difference if they agree that the card was misgraded.

So if the 10 went to a 5 PSA would pay the difference

Yes
