Hi I am looking to purchase a Psa 10 LOB 1st edition blue eyes white dragon North American English. If you have one please hit me up! I am PayPal ready and am willing to pay around $6000. Thank you.
Know nothing about yugioh but another member on here in another thread offered $6k-7k for the same card so I don’t think you’ll be getting any bites.
Since another buy thread came up, I’ll post what I messaged someone privately. Note that this is my 2c.
For BEWD, past “sold” prices are considered “below market” prices.
As a result, I would suggest offering higher and offering across multiple platforms like FB, insta, etc. (don’t overshoot obviously, but expect to shell out $7k-8k at minimum) because for this card in particular, you run the risk of the card getting sold in the near future for some exorbitant amount which then sets it at a new market price that blows any chance of getting it at what’s right now considered “overpriced” - if someone lists at 9k and it gets sold, then all the other BEWD holders will want 10k and so on and so forth until prices stabilize, and I think it still has decent room to grow.
That works until the buyer pool refuses to pay a certain price, then the sellers have to start undercutting each other to find what the market is willing to pay.
Completely agree that this will occur eventually, but imo we are probably not close to that point for this card yet. Also because I feel compelled to disclose this, I do own a 1st Ed. BEWD, but I am taking as objective of a stance as possible on this because I do truly think we haven’t seen this card reach its peak price yet, and I do think that if you’re looking to buy, now’s the time (although GL trying to get it off of somebody ). Feel free to argue against this if you think this is incorrect! At the end of the day I hope you do get an offer for the card @ market price
I agree with you. What price do you think the card will peak at before it settles? I remember when they were 2K and at the time I thought that was ridiculous lmao
That’s the million dollar question, haha - depends on how deep the pockets of yugioh collectors can go and how many of them are out there.
But (again, my opinion), I think that we’re only in the initial stages of old-shool yugioh fans coming back to relive their childhood memories through TCG collecting, much like pokemon circa 2014 (this is not a direct analogy, as Pokemon has a much wider fan base and also gained traction through the release of Pokemon Go, but you get what I’m going at here).
There’s an explosion in Yugioh grading and collecting right now. I think that there could be a bubble in 99% of old, sought after SET cards and VIDEO GAME PROMOS simply because there’s not enough demand and print runs were huge but PSA 10 LOB 1st BEWD is in that 1% of cards which won’t really go down.
