Multiple. I had some bulk orders that were similar as well. I wouldn’t have posted if it were just one order.

If those are 8s, they are the cleanest 8s I’ve ever seen. Geez
Still a really solid grade on a beautiful card. Hopefully bgs gives it a gem mint gold label
Curious, did it ship back from CA or NJ?
From California.
“Grading standards are consistent and haven’t changed” ![]()
Sadly PSA has become such a coinflip in recent months - it’s why I’ve been buying a lot of the under graded cards and sending them back to PSA or to BGS for a grade bump.
People are getting rekt left and right but keep sending cards there.
BGS is way more consistent - but sadly doesn’t have a lot of the “features” that PSA has.
So your porygon gets an 8 but this one (albeit a different card) with bad centering got a 9(OC)? It makes the OC part a bit of a messy extra IMO, not a fan of that being a designation for “the rest of the card is great but the centering is crap” when the grading number is high.
Very confusing time at PSA, I have had some bad ones lately as well.
Didn’t they also say that they were stopping the OC qualifiers?
I have a insanely clean neo 4 shining Japanese Tyranitar that is probably the cleanest copy I’ve ever seen - just off centre - and got an 8.
Super frustrating how everything is up in the air and wishy washy there. Every different grader seems to go by different grading standards.
When these look better than older certs 10s
Are you implying older certs may be “weaker” grades - shocking revelation ![]()
My crusade against off-center cards has caused this. I believe this is single-handedly my own doing. You may blame me.
If this does continue I would agree the standards have changed. Right now it looks like more valuable cards get more scrutiny. Either way its bs.
Almost certainly a 9.5 at BGS
I’ll second the very strange PSA 7 grades.
Just got a return from PSA with a bunch of 7s that make no sense. Doesn’t an indent usually get an auto 6? I have always thoughts 7s were due to whitening/holo scratching. Bunch of very clean cards that got 7s and I can’t figure out why.
I wonder how this will apply to cards that sort of always have bad centering? For example, I feel like Base Set Dragonair has always had wonky centering even on the 10s I’ve seen:
Are these all 9s now? Or will they still get 10s? As far as I know, the grading companies factor in ‘known’ issues with certain cards, so maybe it’ll still be lenient with certain ones.
Woah! That’s crazy and it definitely speaks to buy the card not the grade. Geez
Imo it’s borderline 9/8.5 centering haha - will send it in the slab first I think before cracking.
