Hey all, I was curious what the best way to protect booster packs is that doesn’t interfere with displaying them. Or, if possible, provides protection and looks good on display at the same time. I recently came upon some unopened jungle, fossil, and base 2 boosters from my childhood. All feedback is appreciated!
For English packs like those you mentioned, ultra pro tarot card sleeves fit, but aren’t the best looking. You can fold graded card sleeves around packs as well with a bit of tape on the back. The front looks good but the back is a bit messy. A good combo is a card saver 1 size semi rigid and 2 ultra pro team bag. Lay the pack on the semi rigid and slide a team bag over the top and bottom. Again, not the best looking but decent protection.

This company makes sort of ‘perfect’ sleeves for packs. I’ve only used the ‘vintage long’ sleeves for my Japanese packs, they look great but are quite tight for most 10/11 card packs, so I tend to use them for 5 card packs. They make different sizes so worth a go to see what fits.
Ultra pro tarot are pretty good looking to me, but idk. Just get a pack of each type and test.
Could grade them, I believe psa finally updated their cases so they don’t have to fold the flaps over anymore.
Great information, thank you! I’ll give that combo a shot and see how it looks.
I’ve actually used their regular pack sleeves, and they fit perfectly. Definitely recommend.
grade them
I’ve always used these:
Just wanted to give a follow up to this. I ended up going with the superior fit pack sleeves + a card saver 1 in front and back of the pack + an ultra pro graded card sleeve over everything. Decided protection was more important to me than looks, and honestly, that combo does look pretty good on display. I didn’t want to grade them because I think the PSA cases for packs look kinda ugly.
Notes:
-
superior fit pack sleeves fit exactly as expected. Good recommendation! Snug without pressing any edges on the pack. That said, I had one modern pack that only fit into the modern wide sleeve, so for anyone looking to do this, you might want to buy both the regular and wide just in case.

ultra pro graded card sleeves are terrible for actual graded cards. They’re designed to have a loose fit around the edges and I had to put in a lot of effort to minimize bunching. But for packs between 2 card savers, they’re great!

I also tried the acrylic magnetic pack holder cases, and the acrylic pack holders that look like a puzzle. Neither were a great fit (not even for modern). If you don’t care about the pack potentially getting damaged, it does look better on display, but I’m guessing most people with sealed packs want to keep them pristine, so I can’t recommend either of these.
