With low pop PSA 10’s its nearly impossible to put a price check on a specific card. There may be one person on here with a single transaction history in the last year and judging off something that old would be unwise with ever changing markets. Definitely a seller determined price that is completely adjusted by the few buyers in the market being around to push the price higher and higher.
My opinion, its still an energy in my book and even with a 1st edition stamp, its not going to run a high premium like the main stage rares. Putting a figure on it, maybe $25 on a good day. There is one up for $29.99 but I doubt it will go.
You are correct, my apologies, jumped over that quickly. In comparable situations I still think these are great looking cards, very intriguing, but due to them being energies they just lack any firepower. Id keep any valuation under $50 for a PSA 10 and the main reason it may go any higher is certain collectors trying to complete sets in 10 bidding at the same time increasing the premium.
But that is where you are mistaken. Look at the 1st edition metal energy PSA 10 from Genesis, the last one sold for $525. They are arguably tougher to grade due to the sheer amount of holo surface that can either be scratched or have print lines. Value on the rocket one, would be much higher than $50 imo.
As much as I’d like to only pay $50, I do see the card pulling more for the exact reasons stated above. It’s a very tough one to grade. I’m two 9’s in so far.
I honestly was not aware that card reached such a high price point, my only thought is Team Rocket is a little more undervalued then the Neo sets and that has a small hindrance in value IMO. Wow that is pretty amazing though, Energies are a very volatile market.
I haven’t received under 200.00 for my metal energy’s and two much higher.
I will pay 100.00 anytime for them cause I have 4 or 5 buyers lined up for one.
