Although I think this is a joke, I hope it’s true - what a great origin story for why you started collecting a specific Pokemon!
While this was, quite literally, a storage unit find, I’m most certainly not in a place, nor have the passion, to truly collect pokemon.
However, I do secretly desire to have complete WotC released set collection.

I interpreted that comment as the 50 was in regards to the possible number of sheets in the pictures that were printed and variants of it (black bordered), not the yellow border card. Either way the count is irrelevant as they should never have left wotc in the first place as they were internal test/development material, I would assume the majority was destroyed on site.

Yeah, seems ~5 Yellow + ~50 Black but no way to know if there are/were more.
Point I was trying to get across was that there could be any number of them stashed away. They did leave WOTC so who says there aren’t more that did the same? The people who were working there can’t even get the story straight. Chel’s integrity was also called into question so there very well could be more that ~5 yellows.
This is Prerelease Raichu all over again and I just hope someone doesn’t pay a stupid amount of money for the thing.
Very possible, @renozuken had 50 or so MTG test prints walk into his store from a wotc employee when previously there were thought to be 10 or less of each.
Employees always having conflicting stories because most just don’t know and are guessing, look at this MTG test print and the CoA (this CoA is about as legit as having Chris or Chel do one for prostoise), it basically says there could be 4-5 or 100s lol www.ebay.com/itm/LIGHTNING-BOLT-TEXTLESS-FOIL-TEST-PRINT-MTG-MAGIC-THE-GATHERING/253191490532 … it didn’t stop someone dropping 7k on it though.
Do I think the card is worth 5k? 7k? 10k+? I don’t know or really care to be honest, it’s not something I’m interested in, but I think it’s undeniable that the card was wotc made and part of the design process and I think that’s all the discussion really was about, not how many there are or how much it’s worth.

Dude just chelax a little bit. You should also check yourself before making remarks like this. Yes, Rattle has stayed true to the username but your behavior in this thread from start to now has been utterly embarrassing and you have singlehandly deterred many people from this card with your actions here. I’m not pulling that out of my ass, I’ve discussed this with multiple people and they agree.
I say this as someone who had defended the legitimacy of this card before this thread was even made (check discord for the receipts, boys and girls). A card I thought was kind of cool is now a bit uglier. Please just sell it and let someone else handle the prototype venusaur when you find it.
