BTW i’ve contacted many people in here to get a kanga PSA 9, the last one that sold for a price that could get close to a psa 10 english ray (15k) has gone. now we are talking way higher prices (which means i won’t ever get it probably).
i wouldn’t get my hopes up.
BTW if anyone has for that price and trade it for a german ray could get a hitman at his door
@pokaholic,on another topic, could you say something about import fees when buying from Switzerland? Like, if I lived in France and bought your Rayquaza for 100 million Woolong, would I have to pay customs because Switzerland isn’t part of the EU?
There’s a lot to compare this to. No damage ninetales, no rarity venusaur, no rarity Raichu, I’m pretty sure I’ve got a card that got me banned from psa that’s comparable. Does it add value, sure, to those that want the cards. Does it make a huge difference? I’d say it depends, I could see a lot of people paying big dollars for the no rairty cards to have complete sets. I don’t see that for a one off German card.
In all it’s worth what someone will pay, do I think it’s more than an ungraded card, yes. Is it significantly more, maybe maybe not.
just to add a bit more context to that PSA 10 german rayquaza: that card was graded by PSA alongside other german goldstar cards, so technically it’s not a “one of a kind”. Still a beautiful card, I would have made an offer to Jeremy if it wasn’t for the wrinkly label, that can not be recased lol
@smpratte
All “international” gold stars have this same feature. That makes even more surprising so many german gold stars have slipped to PSA cases because the overall appearance is so different compared to english cards.
All non English ex era cards have this lighter border, interesting enough this is the way you can tell non-english “holo” energies from this era apart, all languages say “energy” at the top.
exactly. i was afraid of asking questions about german cards here because many people don’t really know what prices are realized in the german speaking parts. that’s why i asked to imagine the value of an english ray in “pop1” like this, but no one responded to that. i bet you’d set the price way higher for such a card, just because english speaking folks want it more, so they value it more (beside to the fact that german cards are just worth less due to less people talking german than english).
so if it’s the highest graded german ray, including BGS, and this is one of a kind in PSA, it’s not worth way more than a bgs 9? no equivalents.
what’s the reason those cardboard cards in plastic cases are worth thousands of dollars? it’s called demand. and although many of you don’t see the value very high, for a niche collector, it’s worth a fortune. and for “normal” collectors, it’s still worth enough, due to the fact that this card is very sought-after and the highest grade available.
hard to find that niche-collector one? probably. easy to find a normal one paying a low 5 digit number? definitely. do I wan’t to sell it then? probably not.
