Ready for more Simplified Chinese cards?
CSM1.5 will be released this Friday, and here are the FAs:
I am surpsied at how little of the new Chinese release is on ebay. This could be an easy set to open and sell singles. I want the reverse holo Umbreon but there isn’t any out there
Does anyone know if the starter deck lists contain reverses? I can’t find any hard answer either way, and I’m trying to figure if I should be keeping an eye out for reverse Piplups or not!
Cards in Starter Decks don’t have Reverse Holos.
Not-so-solid proof: I opened a box of (12) Starter Decks and didn’t get any Reverse Holos.
Very solid proof: a card and its Reverse Holo copy are listed separately in the official Simplified Chinese card list, but cards from Starter Deck are all listed only once.
That’s good to know! The information on these cards are hard to come by for the non Chinese collectors! I need the Voltorb and Electrode from that deck and was concerned I’d have to worry about reverse holos too.
Wonderful, thank you for the information!
I haven’t seen this posted on TaoBao yet. Do you have info on where to buy? Thanks!
It is already available on taobao for 450rmb
Second main expansion announced and to be released on January 18.
This set will cover most of the cards in C (a.k.a. Tag Team) rotation.
Do we have any members from China who can speak to the popularity/success of these releases?
Does anyone know if there’s a Start Deck 101 in Simplified Chinese?
Simplified Chinese hasn’t entered SWSH era yet.
Sorry I was typing on my phone AND trying to avoid the term “god deck” (After VStar I’m sick of hearing about “god packs”!)
What I meant was: Is there a chase deck with the starter decks in Simplified? They are now in Sun and Moon but there is a start deck. They are not all the same, and each come with one promo pack (of I think 60 possibilities?), but is there a deck like Start Deck 101 which is full of big hits?
Yes and no.
Each box you purchase includes:
There are a total of 18 main deck recipes and 18 sub deck recipes, and you get 1 deck each at random (this format is similar to Asian Starter Decks, but for Simplified Chinese the Trainer cards are also tied to the recipes). All cards in the recipes are from the first 324 cards of the deck’s set list which are all non-holo, so there are no so-called “chase decks” among the decks themselves.
However, there are 12 secret full arts at the end of the card list (so the full card list is 336) which are only found in that sealed pack with low pull rates.
Has the list for the tag team sets come out?
Not yet
Thanks so much for this! Would love to know how Pokemon decided on their product strategy and timing, incl. why certain cards are secret rares in this format, etc. But this info really helps.
Oh the previoulsy tag team gx set exclusives (erika, will, red, etc) are releasing in another language.
