What singles are you all looking for? LMK and ill see if i can find them. Tony and Quuador, we have already discussed your needs.
Already regret not having ordered a few more.
Beautiful! I am curious to see your pulls.
Ok, looks like we’ve got a tiny spoiler for the next Thai set. Theme decks will feature Mewtwo and Lycanrock.
Shops are taking pre-orders already and release date is still to be determined, but as far as I am told they will be released in April. Enjoy!
I’m not totally familiar with the newer sets, so do you know if these are identical to the English or Japanese release, or does this look like a unique set like the launch set?
@tonysandlin , it seems like they are different to English and Japanese in some aspects.
As far as I could understand, they always launch type A and type B booster boxes, the cards don’t seem to follow a logical pattern or timeline either and the theme decks have cards that aren’t included in the booster boxes. Then again, I haven’t played the TCG in a while so not sure whether these make sense from a players perspective.
For example, this Solgaleo artwork, if I recall well was released alongside Lunala in Europe and Japan, but here it’s being released alongside Lugia. Also, that Mewtwo GX on the Theme deck is the same artwork as the one released with Shining Legends. Wondering if we will get a Thai Test Tube Mewtwo or Shining Mew.
The distribution and promotion of Thai language cards is being managed by True which is a telecommunications company, not sure if they have any influence in the choice of cards, but I know there is a growing competitive scene in Thailand, so maybe they are prioritizing cards that are relevant to the local metagame.
Take all of the above with a pinch of salt though as it is mostly based on assumption from the fragments of information I manage to gather from my Thai friends.
Given that the first release didn’t have jolteon, flareon or vaporeon I am thinking there is the possibility of more eevees. And I am still trying to source the first three! ha! @rustedharmony
Sweet now after I pick up some girls in Bangkok we can play Pokémon instead of spoon.
yes I’m excited! Groundbreaking & definitely worth a spot in my binder! I can’t wait!!!
Tbh, I don’t really understand what kind of logic they’ve used when they created the First Impact Thai TCG set to begin with… The set doesn’t even contain the grass- and water-type starters of Sun & Moon (Rowlet and Popplio), but for some reason does include the fire-starter Litten…
Looks like they just put a bunch of random cards together from the Sun & Moon set available in other languages at the time, and mixed them all together to well… some kind of set. Older Korean sets were rather similar, though.
Greetz,
Quuador
Actually got my friend to look into it, and rumour has it that the new set as well as the metagame for Thai cards will include cards from the following sets:
SM 1-Sun & moon
SM 2 - Guardian Uprising
SM 3 - Burning Shadow
SM 4 - Crimson Invasion
SM 5 - Shining Legend
SM 6-Ultra Prism
SM 7 - Forbidden Light
SM 8 - Celestial Storm
SM 9-Dragon Majesty
SM 10 - Lost Thunder
So yeah, no logical reasoning from a collector’s standpoint, but again it may make sense within the local meta. I’ll be sure to check out some stores next time I visit Thailand and see if local players can help me make sense of it.
Has anyone had any luck getting an extra pikachu in thai and would be willing to sell it?
@johto99 PM’d
Is there already a proper release date announced for the upcoming Thai set?
Looks like the new Thai set is finally out. Apparently it includes Shinings from Shining Legends.

Anyone know if there are any Hoopa cards released in thai yet?
@therealonewolf,I’m also looking for pikachus as well if you have any spares.
@quuador last 30 seconds. There’s a promo Pikachu in Thai your going to have to track down (get two so I can have one as well!)
Mjisaacs
Someone tag me when they release the Lopunny
Oh, so it’s not longer a Korean exclusive, but a Korean & Thai exclusive instead. Still surprised it isn’t released in Japanese/English, though.
Let me know if someone finds the new set list. And I’m also still looking for the 038/140 Pikachu from the Deck. Been doubting to buy a bunch of decks to try and get them, but not sure since the shop where I ordered before said they would place Deck cards as singles in their shop soon (now if only I knew how soon)…
Greetz,
Quuador
