Not sure if anyone can figure out where the dot matrix starts but here is mine. I have no idea how to find the date though… Just two photos of front and back most clear areas

I tried to update the timeline based on what we know now. Seems like there were at least 4 seperate (2022, April 2024, Aug. 2024, Sep. 2024) time at which Kimura sold Playtests/Prototypes. And as far as I see all HQ Betas come from the cards that Sean bought in April 2024. I dont know if this helps us though.

Edit:
Thanks to some very valuable information you guys dmed me, I’ll update the graphic and upload a new version. I took down this version.

I’m not sure where in the timeline he falls, but steady.collect is somewhere in this too. Sharing photos and personal encounters with Akabane as well as selling Beta Playtests.

Edit: I’m not trying to say or imply anything bad about Steady or anyone. Was just trying to help fill in another piece for BUEFFES roadmap

Thank you! True they need to be added. I’ll update this.

I’m not sure who knew what in terms of the fakes, but giving Steady the benefit of doubt, it’s really sad to see how happy he seemed to meet him.

Of course. I’m not trying to put any blame on Steady. I’m sure I hope there are a number of people of this map that have no idea what transpired. Just another name I knew of being involved in some capacity so wanted to add.

I worked with him personally and can vouch for his character. He’s a good guy and not a scammer whatsoever. He, like the rest of us, believed they were authentic and is a genuine collector just like the rest of us who spent tons of money on them. Don’t lump him in with the rest of those bad actors. I will go up to bat for this dude any day.

Agree that it’s best to withhold any judgements of who knew what.

If I had the opportunity to meet Akabane and be part of what I thought was Pokemon history, I would jump at it.

There are defintely some questionable people involved, but best not to lump everyone together.

Ive talked with Steady a lot about these since they started to become available around Worlds. He truly loved these cards and I believe was taken advantage of in this situation. Privately he has been one of the leading collectors trying to prove or disprove the origins of these cards.

To clarify. The purpose of thiev is not blame someone .Im just updating the graphic that was shared by Wataru to better understand what happened when.

One of the biggest assets the scammers behind this had is that many collectors truly wanted these to be real. I think both buyers and sellers wanted to be a part of what felt like history. Turns out it was history, just not the kind any of us wanted to be a part of.

You guys can follow whatever investigation path you want but just to be clear on the record all the analysis I did and made available was exclusively based on the characteristics inherent to the cards themselves and not based off of anything any specific individuals were or were not doing.

But yeah just be careful because many people who are connected in the main arc of this story are likely some of the biggest victims.

The only one I blame is CGC, since a grading company must be a safeguard against scams.

These are cool to see. Do you have any details of them?

This is the correct answer. Per my conversations with Mr. Ryan, WOTC’s job was to make sure the english translation did not break the game’s mechanics.
