Do we have an idea of what these are costing around ? Like well over 10k for a CGC 8-9 or more around under 10k for each ?

I’m sure it depends on the Pokémon but just a ball park :raised_hands:

Are you only looking for the alphas?

The beta playtests are way cheaper! Most are going for 1700-2500 for 8-9.5 grades

Perhaps he is trying to secure the rest of the Akabane cards and thinks he can corner the market?

One sure way to have 100 sets turn up is him getting his grubby mitts on 1.

Yeh he’s posted that on an app over here also. It’s unfortunate but deep pockets speak loudly

I’ve heard he already owns a full set. The image supports it too. Looks like around $700k in yen. It’s also a reason why many people were speculating that “akabane” instagram account was him.

If he does have a full set, he would have gotten it before the cards really started going for sale and paid a pretty speculative price. If Zack paid roughly 5k per beta card, then that’s probably closer to what xiao would have realistically paid.

Most of the playtests that aren’t popular Pokemon are going sub $3k. It seems that xiao may be trying to protect his purchase and create a $3k floor, perhaps without ever intending to buy another copy at all. It may not seem like much, but the difference between $2k and $3k for 200 cards is $200,000.

I’d be curious to know if he’s bought more than 0 copies with this offer and why so many cards have already gone under $3k on public auction if that’s his floor price.

If Xiao has a piece of a piece of laserjet printed paper that isn’t graded, it might as well be fake

If xiao has a piece of a piece of a laserjet printed paper that’s in a slab, that also doesn’t mean it’s graded
