[OT] $175,000 1951 Willy Mays Stolen from Rob Schneider

I know this isn’t Pokemon related (hence OT) but since this is pretty big news in the Collectible Card hobby as a whole, I thought I’d share it here.

Well shit.

Damn, that’s about 30 mins from where I live. Really stinks to have part of your collection stolen. Hope they are able to recover the stolen items/catch the thieves.

This is exactly why I keep most my highest valuables and auction items off property in a guarded storage facility that’s air conditioned with an office setup.
If they ever broke in here they may get 50 bucks out of a drawer and a TV set at most. Plus, I have an arsenal for personal and family protection that would make Our honorable president feel safe:)

OMG

I am amazed.

Rob Schneider earned enough to afford a $175k baseball card. Who would have thunked.

How about Nicolas Cage’s Action Comics no.1 that was stolen from his home and then years later was found and eventually sold for $2.1 million? This is one awesome piece of collectible.

Apparently they found his action comics in storage locker 10 years later. I’m guessing they couldn’t move it.

Yeah, stuff like that is so unique that if it ever comes up for sale on any reputable platform it is immediately recognized.
