Found that while browsing, what do you guys think
You can tell that it’s fake because of the rainbow/iridescent hue from the holo. This is typical of almost all vintage fakes these days.
That is awesome that zenmarket can profile fake listings like that. What does the description say?
In the description, the seller demands that you comment before buying or else he won’t sell the card to you (?). ZenMarket yellow box warn the description might suggest this is a fake article and the second one says that this seller does not have many reviews.
Yeah, that’s a huge giveaway. Wish I could still find this Ho-Oh for that kind of price though ah ah
This is common for middleman (e.g. Buyee/ZenMarket) scam listings. They require the buyer to comment to ensure the listing is being bought by an individual outside of Japan through one of these middleman services (knowing that the services have not very good protection and are generally unwilling to follow up on scams that have occurred). It’s basically a method of only selling to those that they can get away with scamming. This method is more often seen with an actual real card listing though, where they’ll either send a fake card or a real card of much worse quality.
Be careful out there!
Yea there’s your red flag
