Man they are trying so hard to bait Wilson to fight. Also, nothing I hate more than a team that starts taking runs at the end of a blowout, show some class.
Vegas was getting chippy against their guys and taking penalties… You think it is wrong of the Caps to score on a 5 on 3?
I mean I am rooting for Vegas but I have no problem with a team playing 100% buzzer to buzzer when in the highest stage the sport has to offer. I mean I hate it when they don’t. If they don’t want to get the score ran up they can simply not let the puck in their net.
Edit: Rereading this and maybe I took it the wrong way and your frustration was actually with Vegas and getting chippy? I agree on that front and apologies if I misunderstood.
Yes, Vegas. Mainly Reaves & McNabb the plugs. That hit on Oshie in the corner was nothing but pure intent to injure. Sbisa knee to Wilson in the 3rd, pure intent to injure. If they felt slighted that we “ran up the score” its the damn finals, get as many goals as possible. I hate that notion. If you don’t want to feel disrespected that the caps put PP1 on the ice (minus Oshie) on a 5 on 3 with 3mins left, don’t go down 5-2 in the first place. Its hilarious that VGK and announcers said its disrespectful; scoring goals is not, taking runs at guys in garbage time IS.
I liked Gallant in Florida, and I liked him with the Knights, until this series. Gallant complaining in the media about how Millers nose is broken from an ELBOW from Oshie…like wait what? Did you watch the hit?? Miller was attempting to hit Oshie, Oshie stops and counter hits and Millers nose hits his helmet. Miller is all salty because he tried to get a call on a clean hit, in which HE INITIATED. Neal and the gang are constantly flopping around throwing their hands up. Marchy is whining and mocking the caps at their morning skate. We scored on a play we shouldn’t have because Miller wanted a call for a clean hit. Neal looked like he was shot after a high stick call against VGK, full on yard sale. VGK have officially started looking for calls rather than play.

Great to see the caps finally win one and Ovi to get a cup 
It would’ve been a damn shame if he never won … that said I thought the series would be a little closer than it was in the end!

Hopefully with another year of playing together Vegas will benefit. It was a great year up here:)

All games were very competitive, I guess it came down to a battle of goaltenders and Fleury wasn’t exactly at his best during the finals. I was really rooting for Vegas, but I’m really happy for Ovechkin tbh. The Caps have been playing very inspiring hockey, you could tell they really wanted that cup bad.
Vegas has a well balanced team, it just goes to show you don’t need top level players to make a deep run in the playoffs. Just look at teams like Edmonton or Buffalo that have drafted at the top last few years and yet they struggle. Buffalo’s going to draft first again and I still don’t expect them to make the playoffs next season. lol

Late to the party but I was a lot happier with the results of this championship than what I was forced to watch in the NBA. I didn’t see any posts on this yet, so here’s a great shot of Alexander Ovechkin hoisting the Stanley Cup.
