Obvious Misgrade

Bought from PSA’s eBay and received today. What do I even do with this?
There’s no way I could sell this and feel good about it.
And I’m guessing PSA doesn’t take returns as they’re from the vault.

It’s frustrating man.

Submit to psa for review under their misgrade policy. Take the payout.

Here is PSA’s Grade Guarantee. Use the Customer Request Center (CRC) to submit a claim.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
What does a payout typically look like in this case?
Card was only a 100 bucks.

Like Neo from The Matrix but instead of dodging bullets they will dodge responsibility on a professional level.

If it regrades as a 6 you’ll get back the difference between the 10 and the 6. A 6 goes for what..$8?

This is psa youre talking about, theyll be sure to find a comparison of a 6 at $50 and a 10 at $75. But hey, $25 is $25.

Lol true and it’ll take 7 months to get it “reviewed”

What in the absolute fuck.

So I just lost my money basically.

LMAOOOOOOO

You might actually lose extra money if you ended up having to pay shipping and they deem it a 10 still

I’d just enjoy the card. Buy the label not the grade. Expect them to downgrade the card but not enough for you to get a good chunk of your money back. PSA will give you a strong 7-9 label to keep the payout tight. If you’d be happy with a little bit of cash back from PSA, then of course you can have them reholder it and pay you enough to go buy a nice iced coffee. I don’t think that’s great for value or liquidity though.

I’m sorry this happened. I like it when graded cards have good photos, but PSA just shows you the basic scans. Slabs already obfuscate flaws as is. But that is the most obvious damage I’ve seen in a long time. That is like a 4 at best imo. Never feels good. I may be one of the biggest grading company critics, but only because I hate seeing situations like this. I hope they deal honestly with you in the end. The negativity to this point in the thread is sadly, warranted. But I’ll pray for your good fortune.

I appreciate it man. I try my best to look at the card when buying graded but it’s outta your hands sometimes. I’ve pretty much accepted the situation and will pick up up another copy of the card.

Heres another funny part, I was just looking back over the card again and-

There’s two dents…

It is what it is I guess.

I’ve had so many problems with the PSA vault and consigners selling misgraded cards (9’s and 10’s with dents) that I don’t use them anymore.

Those sellers are an easy way to dump “bad” slabs because their customer service deals with the fallout.
