Cautiously optimistic because the show is being headed by Bryan Fuller, who has a fantastic track record of heading up really good TV shows. Hannibal being the most recent one.
I didn’t watch TOS until after I had watched TNG/Voyager/DS9. I can see how it was very fresh and different back in the day, and I really did enjoy it but I think no matter what you could only enjoy it fully if you were around at the time.
I’ve only really watched the original (and a couple of the old movies + the new movies). I’ve watched a couple episodes here and there of TNG, but nothing like what I’ve watched for the original. It’s not often that anything from 50 years ago can capture my attention, but the original series does it so well.
Probably the greatest TV show of all time in my opinion.
HMms I havnt watched ncis. I think its one of those 24 episodes per season and there is new actors per episode with no overall constant steady storyline. I use to watch svu when as a teenager
, but when I started watching the 12 episode TV shows that are a steady thingy majiggy like breaking bad, game of thrones, sense8 etc… I just couldn’t go back to that form of show… But if ncis isn’t like in that category, this won’t make sense. I’ll have to check.
CBS is generally shit, but the guy leading the production/direction of the show is Bryan Fuller who lead Hannibal, which was one of the best television shows of the last 10 years. So there is reason to hope.
